Rooney in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Charles Deetz in Beetlejuice, Eddie Barzoon in The Devil's Advocate and AW Merrick in Deadwood and Deadwood: Movie. His career began at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and progressed to London and Broadway. In film and television, Jones has played many roles that capitalize on his candid portrayal of characters in unusual situations, often to create a comical effect. He has been nominated for the Golden Globe Award for performance in Amadeus and the Screen Actors Association Award as part of Deadwood's main cast.
